Jon started dancing at a very young age in his home state of Maine. As a teenager, he sought out greater training at the Boston Ballet School. Having performed in seemingly countless community shows, summer stock and national touring productions, Jonathan received his equity card and went to New York City where he had a successful career on Broadway performing alongside such notable stars as Carol Channing, Jane Powell, Bernadette Peters, Gower Champion and Robert Preston.

After marrying Linda MacArthur, the two returned to Maine where they formed what is now the Maine State Ballet which boasts 600 students. The surrounding community had recognized their talent and it wasn't long before Jon began directing and choreographing shows for the Lyric Theater, Portland Players, Windham Center Stage Theater and many area high schools.

He has tap danced on albums as well as choreographed for music videos. His exuberant style of dance has made him a great favorite among students who want to experience the excitement of big, Broadway-style choreography, many of which have gone on to have successful careers on Broadway and other nationally recognized companies. He has touched the lives of thousands on both sides of the curtain with his commitment to to his craft. A Maine treasure, Jon is proud to promote the arts the Maine area.
